Students Life at UA
School Library
Students love reading at UA. They borrow books from our library and enjoy weekly library sessions. They also read e-books on the tablets and have access to books in English, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, and French. |
ICT
ICT devices give students the hands-on experience they need with modern technology. All students have the opportunity to use the devices every week to expand their knowledge. |
Critical thinking
We encourage children to develop problem solving skills from an early age so they can apply their minds to any of life's challenges. |
Independent and Cooperative Learning
Students learn how to work together and independently to accomplish tasks, both in and outside of the classroom. |
Educating for Peace
UA believes that a future peaceful Rwanda requires active education in the values of peace. Our classrooms are named after Heroes to remind students of this every day. Teachers and students also participate in Peace activities, taught through all subjects. We have a close relationship with Genocide Memorial Centre and are proud to be the first Primary School in Rwanda to attend their educational training programme. Our message of peace is advocated in everything we do and corporal punishment is never used at our school
